International School Development Through Psychology

Educational Psychology support for International Schools and school leaders who want to develop their practice in inclusion, behaviour and learning.

International Schools can sometimes feel like their very own island...

International Schools can be so different to the schools closest to them and far away to from where their curriculum was developed.

Each International School is unique because of the backgrounds of their learners, community and staff.

From her International School background, Dr Frances understands that making changes within such a system can be challenging.

As an Educational psychologist, Dr Frances has a vast experience of helping schools to implement the changes needed, to enable them to grow and develop in line with their values and priorities.

Which areas of support does your International School need, so that your learners can truly thrive?

Dr Frances Willis,
The Inclusive Psychologist

In 1995 my parents explained to me that we would be moving to India, a country on the other side of the world that 7-year-old me had barely heard of.

Little did I know at the time that this would be that start of a life long adventure into travel with educational opportunities I could never have dreamt of.

Moving between the UK, India, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand, I enjoyed a huge variety of cultures, peers and International Schools.

I was inspired by hearing my mother and her friends (International School teachers themselves) talk about supporting children with special educational needs.

There my aspiration to become an Educational Psychologist began. After years of training and experience, I am now delighted to be returning to my International School roots, now in Bahrain.

By using collaboration, consultation, school development and training, I bring meaningful change to International Schools in the Middle East and beyond.

My practice uses Educational Psychology to answer the question how can schools better support children to thrive?
